Brad and I have been friends since kindergarten and have worked in the restaurant business in one form or another since our high school years. We have always dreamed of owning a restaurant together, however there were two conditions: The food had to be great! The place had to be fun!

Some ten years ago, we each began researching and developing a passion for BBQ. Brad operated a catering/deli business in the BBQ capital of S.C., and I traveled the country on business, sampling the best BBQ and bringing it home to NY to throw many a BBQ bash!

Approximately three years ago, we recognized that the barbeque world had all but passed over Westchester. With a summer 2003 opening in mind, we accepted the challenge to bring to Westchester its First Authentic Southern-style BBQ pit. After countless days of research, many nights of tasting, and developing recipes we were proud to open our doors at Southbound Bar-B-Que in October of last year. The task is not an easy one; however the response has been incredible. We have been flattered with confirmation and support from our area's many BBQ fanatics, and are continually overwhelmed with the enthusiasm of our many first time patrons.

Barbeque is a labor of love. We love what we do! We look forward to many more years of providing great barbeque to our friends old and new.
